Chandler Riggs on Bringing Resident Evil 7 to Life in BIOHAZARD

Chandler Riggs breaks down BIOHAZARD, his Resident Evil 7 fan film, from becoming Ethan Winters to recreating the Baker family’s terrifying dinner scene.

In this interview with Elias on Pop Culture Unplugged, Riggs discusses writing, directing, starring in and editing BIOHAZARD, the challenges of adapting Resident Evil 7 into live action, and why finding Mia remained the heart of Ethan’s story.

He also reveals how the production used live bugs and maggots, crashed a $500 car into a wall, and transformed an old Tampa cigar factory into the Baker family’s nightmare.

Plus, Chandler discusses working with Jason Douglas as Jack Baker, his reaction to support from Resident Evil 7’s director, whether he would return as Ethan Winters, and the other games he would love to adapt—including SOMA, Outlast and BioShock.

What would you like to see next: more of Chandler Riggs as Ethan Winters, or a different horror game adaptation? Tell us in the comments!
