Audrey Huynh, the rising star making waves in the entertainment world, has joined the cast of XO, Kitty Season 2 as Stella, bringing her own unique charm and energy to the hit Netflix series. We had the chance to catch up with Audrey on Pop Culture Unplugged to talk about joining the show, her experience on set, and what fans can expect from her character.
On Joining the Cast of XO, Kitty
Audrey shared her excitement about joining the XO, Kitty universe, a spinoff of the beloved To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise:
"Joining XO, Kitty was such an incredible opportunity. I’ve been a fan of the show, so getting to step into this world was a dream come true. The cast and crew were so welcoming, and I felt like I was part of a big family from day one."
She also shared how she landed the role:
"The audition process was virtual, which has become pretty standard these days. When I got the call, I was beyond thrilled. I knew how special this show was, and I couldn’t wait to bring Stella to life."
Who Is Stella?
Audrey gave us a glimpse into her character:
"Stella is a confident and dynamic presence at KISS. She’s fiercely loyal, ambitious, and has a strong sense of self. But, like most people her age, she’s also figuring things out—whether it’s friendships, her identity, or what she wants out of life. She’s a little mysterious, and I think fans are going to love uncovering who she is."
On Stella’s role in the season’s storyline, Audrey hinted at some drama:
"Stella shakes things up a bit. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, and she challenges some of the other characters in unexpected ways. Her journey this season is really about finding her place and building meaningful connections."
The Experience of Filming in Korea
Audrey spoke enthusiastically about filming in South Korea:
"It was such a surreal experience. Shooting in Seoul really added to the authenticity of the story. The city itself is so vibrant and beautiful, and it felt like another character in the show. Plus, being immersed in Korean culture and cuisine was just amazing."
She also shared a funny memory from set:
"There was this one scene where we were all supposed to be super serious, but something happened off-camera that had us cracking up. We had to do so many takes because we couldn’t keep a straight face. Moments like that made filming such a joy."
On Representation and Relatability
As an actor passionate about authentic representation, Audrey reflected on what XO, Kitty brings to the table:
"The show is so refreshing because it explores so many different aspects of identity, culture, and relationships without feeling forced. It’s diverse in every sense, and that’s something I’m really proud to be part of. I think Stella’s story will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt like they’re navigating uncharted territory."
What Fans Can Expect in Season 2
Without giving away spoilers, Audrey teased what fans can look forward to in the new season:
"Season 2 is packed with twists, turns, and heartfelt moments. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll definitely be rooting for your favorite characters. Stella brings some unexpected energy to the group, and I think fans are going to enjoy seeing how her relationships with the main characters evolve."
On Working with the Cast
Audrey couldn’t say enough good things about her co-stars:
"Everyone on the cast is so talented and supportive. Alyssa is such a great leader on set, and the chemistry between everyone really translates on screen. It felt like we were all working toward the same goal—to make something special for the fans."
Looking Ahead
As XO, Kitty Season 2 gears up for its release, Audrey is already looking forward to the future:
"I’d love to see where Stella’s journey goes next. There’s so much potential for her story, and I think fans would love to see more layers of her character. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a Season 3!"
